It isn't so much that the statues and the bas-relief were stolen. They were taken in a time when the British pretty much were the only one who appreciated the value of these pieces. And seeing how torn by civil war and other disastrous things Greece became after the pieces were removed from Acropolis, it can be argued that they could been destroyed otherwise. But it's questionable that the British Museum keeps hanging onto them and other items of cultural value that arguably belong to other countries and nations. But this is just my take on this.

Glad you keep having fun and having tons of experiences.

I get that, but I think it would be safe to return the pieces now. I don't get why they don't.

I've felt that way about the Greek artifacts for years that others have basically held them hostage but right now its like Greece can't even take care of them properly. It's a sad thing.
