The backstory of the new story, as yet unnamed, is set in 1968, so naturally I've been listening to rock and roll to get into the mood. Buffalo Springfield Again, and I had "Mr. Soul" up loud, with the windows down, and was both singing along and sort of dancing in the seat. While I was waiting to pick up the kid from school. Snerk. This almost makes me want kids.

At my funeral, I want Tom Lehrer's "We Will All Go Together When We Go." You know, just to see who sidles for the exit. ;)

hee hee! He's locked himself into his bedroom, playing Queen's Greatest Hits. I'm in the other room with Janis on the stereo. He asked me if Queen has any new songs out? I haven't decided how to break the news about Freddy Mercury...

*facepalm* Hasn't Freddy been dead since, like, the early '90s? I guess you can always record yourself saying, "Freddy Mercury died of AIDS in 1991. Sorry to break it to ya, kind," and tell him it's a just-released Queen mp3. Mean, but, hey, you can't wait for grandkids to get ALL your revenge.

I wonder if Freddy is up in heaven, humming "We are the champions?" I think every teenager in the world loves that song, while thinking about how he was stolen by gypsies and sold as an infant.

Hi, Sarah!

Talk about torure: As I was maybe 11 years old my 10 years older brother used to test my knowledge of The Beatles' songs letting me guess from their beginning. Please notice tht I didn't speak any English then. Later he developed a taste for Joplin, Hendrix, The Doors, Jefferson Airplane and I started to learn English on my own with their texts and the Italian translation.

Ciao

Antonella

PS: Yes, I'm keeping warm: tomorrow the *max.* temperature will be -5°!

he has excellent taste! My sister, with whom I had to share a bedroom, would play the Beach Boys Endless Summer over and over and over. I can't remain calm around the Beach Boys to this day.
