I think you're a nascent, aspiring intellectual and you should have stayed in college. Being well read is good and all, but a college curriculum assists you in taking what you've read and integrating it into larger models and theories.
I too was solely into normative political theory until I went to college and studied social statistical analysis. Without the guidance of college my beliefs were eclectic and scattered, they lacked any unified theory or backing. Along with a study of sociology and law college helped me to form a much more concrete basis for my beliefs.
