If I stay up all night, will it make that much of a difference on my test? If it happens makes a full grade difference, will it make a noticeable improvement to my overall mark? Ten minutes after I look at my final marks will I even remember them? The answer to all of these questions is no. I'm going to bed.

I wasn't sure which comment to reply to, but I picked this one because it made more sense. I seem to remember having a drunken argument about the term "freak folk" and how it was unnecessary.

I'd have to say I'm pro genre. They can be tricky among people who don't know a lot about music and place music into the wrong category, or assume one band, or even one song has to be in one genre, but it does help classify things. Without genres we would have to use examples of bands or songs when people asked us questions like "what kind of music do you like?" or "what does this band sound like?"
