Great news--I was able to extend the life of my favorite shirt. The bottom hem was frayed, I knew it wouldn't make it through too many more wash cycles. I considered taking it out of the usual rotation, like relegating a starting pitcher to middle relief. Instead, I took a huge risk by tearing off the hem altogether. Blah blah blah? Good grief, you've birthed wunderkinds!

Good for you for breathing new life into an old shirt. I had a meeting recently with a woman who's business is repurposing things and she's written a book that will come out next March. It was such an energizing visit. We're looking for ways to collaborate; heaven knows I come across more than my fair share of "stuff" and people just want it gone and they don't care about how it gets gone. Clean-out guys just haul perfectly useable stuff to the dump. There's gotta be a better way...

I'm impressed-repeat,impressed-by your kids' accomplishment. The shirt pales in comparison.
