What does one use for references if one is looking for a job while still holding a current one, and one doesn't really have any references except people from their current job? "Resumes available upon request" and hope the new job doesn't ask for them? I'm not filling out any applications at the moment, but I'm just curious about how that all

Hmm. My resume includes phone numbers with all the jobs I've had, and one of my last interviewers actually did call my UND advisor. But I don't have a separate "References" section. I guess I might tactfully ask them in a cover letter not to call my current boss? Dunno.
