So, I'm torn between watching more Veronica Mars episodes or playing Age of Empires III on my new laptop. Decision: stay up late and do both. :) *pets laptop

Hey, it's still Christmas! 12 days, remember? And fic is fic! Who cares if it's not entirely in season?
I'm impressed with the manual. Sounds like a really good idea, but also sounds like it's taking a lot of dedication. BTW, what format is it in? Hardcopy has its limitations, but there's something a little odd about an onscreen basic-level comp troubleshooting manual...
lol about the baby scene.
Anyway, glad to hear that things are going well. :) Merry Christmas and Happy Chanukah. :)
Thanks again for the update. It's good to hear something from you. :)
Yes, the manual is in hardcopy. Nobody would bother to read it if it wasn't. Well, at least, the original was, and this updated one *will* be once I'm finished and print it out.
Also, it's in outline format. That way, in one section, I can reference another section as XI.3.A. Makes life easier, so I don't have to worry about adding a page earlier in the document and that throwing off all of my page number references. I might add an index at the back once I'm entirely done, though. Of course, people like Elizabeth will hate that (she doesn't like numbers and doesn't know Roman numerals), but hopefully she'll survive.
LOL on the procedure manual. I wrote a number of them in my working days ... they fit the way my mind works, too, just like you! Your idea of taking photos with your digital camera is a good one -- just take it in and do it little by little. They'll be in awe of you. *g* (I used to write software manuals, so I did a lot of screen caps ... you're taking me back a number of years now!)
As for the fic idea, there's always next Christmas! That's the nice thing about holiday stories ... if you don't finish them this year, you can always keep working and have something ready early for next year. :)
