Here is said ranty XD
The other day, I was on the phone with my mom. While talking to her, I heard what sounded like a remote control car on the sidewalk. My kitchen has the side door, and it was open. At first, like I said, I just thought it was some kids on the sidewalk, that is until I realized it wasn't moving. I go out there, and there are these two girls on a powerwheels (they looked a little too big to be riding it tbh) and were riding it down my driveway out into the road! >.<.. My driveway is on an incline btw...Well, I thought, since I had caught them in the act, they would move on. I go back to talking to my mom, and a few minutes later, here come these girls again, and they are going AROUND the front of my car (I could see it since my kitchen door was open). This time, I told them to get off my property NOW! I'm sorry, but I have to protect myself. I don't even know whose kids they are, and if they would have gotten hurt, who would everyone look at? ME, that's who. They could have gotten run over, cuz believe me, people don't do the speed limit on this road, and it's a residential area. Or have gotten hurt some other way. And since I don't even know, at least not for certain, who these kids even are, who would I call to say, "hey, you better get over here, your kid just got hurt"? I don't need a lawsuit on my hands, and I will not be responsible for these kids. As far as I know, they may even be younger than my son. They don't ride his bus after all. So, where are the parents? What are they teaching them? That it's ok to trespass on private property?
Speaking of which, every morning, I watch at least one, if not more, kids walking to the bus stop IN THE ROAD! There are sidewalks that are decently maintained, but they choose to walk in the road. If they think they look cool doing so, they won't look so cool once they become a hood ornament >.<....I'm sorry for this rant. I know I'm not perfect as a person or a parent, but I am trying to at least raise my son up as well as I can. Some days I feel so full of fail, others I feel I'm doing ok. I guess that's parenthood for you. But watching some, not all mind you, but some of these kids makes me weep for the future at times.
And now for the funny XD
I was watching Nemuri last night. Well, hubby thought he'd add his own voiceover to the show >.<....Most of it, I either ignored, or just didn't strike me as particularly funny. Well, during the scene where that mercenary guy is fighting the brother, and the two others with him, as you've seen, they'd run a bit and stop. Well, hubby blurts out "1,2,3 REDLIGHT!" I lost it then and started cackling! If anyone doesn't know, 1,2,3 Redlight is a childrens game where one person stands at one end of a field or room or what have you, and will say 1,2,3 Redlight while the others on the other end of the room, etc, run towards him/her. At Redlight, who ever doesn't freeze is out of the game. The first person to get to the caller is the winner and the next caller of 1,2,3 redlight. I think I will never watch that scene again without LMAO XD.
