Our Christmas Adventure

I think I said it before, but in case anyone missed it....Merry Christmas! (late here XD)

Anyways, we had a bit of an adventure for Christmas.

Well, Mike decided he wanted me to go out, on the eve no less, to pick up some last minute things for Ian for his stocking.  I'm happy to say that I got in and out of the stores pretty quickly, and even stopped for a P.E. smell-a-thon XD.  Well, while I was out, my mom called me to tell me it had started sleeting where they live.  I must admit I thought it wasn't going to be bad, so it took me a bit to go home.  I had to restop at Walmart to pick up a present from my friend.  She had gotten me some jewelry, and some sake, which I must try here real soon!  Anyways, I got home, and just as I was getting home, it started snowing pretty heavily.  So I woke up hubby, we got all the stuff in the car, with Buddy Luv, and off we went.

Now, we had just heard it was supposed to be rain, then we heard flurries.  Well, that wasn't no flurries...By the time we got to Route 42, those roads were bad, and apparently someone had a wreck, which made the sheriff send us down a road we had never been on before and had no idea which way to go.  Reminder, it's kinda in the hills, so no signs to point the way.  So we had to turn around, and I forgot to mention that this road they sent us on was worse than 42 was.  Well, we got back out and backtracked to another road we could take.  My parents live near a ski resort, and when we were approaching the mountain to go down, there was another wreck and at least this time, they were giving people directions on how to get down.  Apparently it was a ten car pileup involving a tractor-trailer and would take 4 hours to clear >.>...Well, the road they sent us down on was all down hill, with nothing on those roads except snow and ice, and a woman in front of us that kept looking back at us instead of focusing on what she was doing...BUT! We got down the mountain and to my parents house without any more incident.  And Buddy Luv only got sick once in the car, but we had put a blanket down, so he didn't christen hubby's car XD LOL.  I wanted a White Christmas, and I guess I got one XD LOL

We stay Christmas eve every year, and come home Christmas night.  So on the eve, we just relaxed, had spaghetti (a tradition now XD), opened one present, and watched Jeff Dunham's Spark of Insanity.  On Christmas morning, which took me a bit to get going, cuz I still have my cold, but it's not bad, we had breakfast and opened the rest of our presents.  I got G's wall calendar, money for the new PB coming out, an iTunes gift card, two very pretty bracelets, and 4 dvds.  My parents were amused at the titles, cuz two of them were Disney's Cinderella, and The Wizard of Oz, and the other two were The Walking Dead Season Two, and Resident Evil: Retribution XD.  I have to have balance you know XD.

Well, I had a slight health problem.  I got a really bad sinus headache, which I didn't have any sudafed for, and advil wasn't touching.  I got so bad that I was literally being sick to my stomach >.<...but my mom figured it out for me, and I was able to enjoy Christmas dinner.  We stayed for a bit longer after that, then packed up the car and came home.  And Buddy didn't get sick on the way home, and the roads were fine today.  The snow had melted mostly.

And I'd rather be sick than say this next bit.  We got home, I watched the first disc of the Walking Dead, and I took a nap.  When I got up, I checked my email, and apparently, for the third time, after many attempts to get them to let my order go through, my bank stopped the charge for my YFC stuff AGAIN!!!!!  And HMV cancelled the order ><...at least the stuff was still in stock, so I transferred funds to my actual credit card, and reordered it...and used a 300 yen coupon too that I didn't know I had!  Yay on that!  But my bank has now lost a customer after all this crap, and I'll start shopping for banks after the first of the year.

All in all though, it was a great Christmas!  I hope everyone else here had a great one too!  Much love!
