REPORT IT. It doesn't matter if anything is missing or not. They may have left evidence behind and may have hit other cars as well.

At least they didn't get anything. All I ever had in my car was a pile of CDs, so they might have got an education if anyone had ever broken into mine XD

And yeah, you should probably still report it just in case it helps the police with any other enquiries they already have open.
