A) What accessories do you wear everyday?
always a sapphire and diamond ring on my right ring finger. my mom bought the stones in bangkok when I was a baby, and had them made into a ring which she gave me when I was in high school.
I also always wear necklaces.
B) What is your beauty routine?
wash and moisturize twice a day. sunscreen in the morning every day. bronzer, blush, eyeshadow (brown and a shimmering pink), and mascara. green and gold eyeshadow if I'm feeling more adventurous.
C) What was the last item of clothing (for yourself) that you purchased?
a blouse from anthropologie.
D) Do you use a dresser, closet, or both?
closet with shelves because I love having shirts, sweaters, and jeans folded. I have a dresser (that I refinished two summers ago) for underwear, socks, and PJs.
E) What type of earrings are in your ears right now?
none. I tend to wear pearl studs for work, though.
F) What type of figure do you have (measurements)?
hourglass.
G) Do you wear glasses?
when I want to look especially clever. I normally wear contacts. my vision is horrifically bad.
H) What type of handbag do you carry?
for work, a large pale pink satchel by an italian designer.
on the weekends I carry an awesome moschino cheap and chick beige canvas bag with pink quilting, pink leather trim, and pink ribbons around chains for handles. I've had it for years and I totally love it.
I) What is your ideal style?
tailored, but with intricate details. I buy all my pants from theory and most of my tops from anthropologie or similar.
J) What is your favorite brand of jeans?
seven for all mankind. I still wear the very first pair of designer jeans I ever bought (2002?) and they still make me feel awesome.
K) Do you wear knee-hi stockings?
with my awesome knee-hi frye boots, yes. and with costumes, of course.
L) Do you *have* to wear matching lingerie?
mismatching is not a deal breaker per se, but all my underwear is in sets. gotta love the gap for making bras in my size in cool colors.
M) Do you wear makeup?
yup. almost every day.
N) Do you wear nightgowns?
most often when it's warm weather, but I tend to be a boxers and tank-top kinda girl.
O) What outerwear do you put on when going out on a typical winter's day?
I love wool coats! I have quite a few, in all different colors. I also have a favorite teal cashmere scarf that I wear with most of them. And a purple velvet muff (courtesy of lulu guinness) that I've worn to the opera.
P) What is your favorite perfume?
currently wearing "maybe baby" by benefit, but I tend to change it up bottle to bottle
Q) Is your motto "quality over quantity" when it comes to clothing and accessories?
yes - I try not to be a very big consumer, and I love things that are beautifully made and well-fitting.
R) Do you wear rain boots?
I have wellies, and I tend to wear them in rain/snow to do things like walk to my boyfriends house or take out the trash.
S) Do you wear socks or slippers when your feet get cold?
monkey slippers!
T) Do you have a set of travel luggage?
I have luggage.
U) What is your daily uniform?
these days, fitted pants, a pretty blouse, a white coat, and dansko clogs.
V) If you are married, did you wear a veil with your wedding dress? If not, how did you do your hair?
not married, but we have a family veil that was originally worn by my grandmother in the 1920s.
W) Do you wear a watch?
on days I have clinic - hard to measures pulses without one. it's by betsey johnson and it's gold and super sparkley. I always get compliments on it, and people have asked if it's an heirloom. I guess it looks kind of old fashioned.
X) What item of clothing always makes you feel beautiful?
dresses - I feel like a well-fitted dress always suits me well.
Y) What is your favorite type of yarn?
yarn? what would I do with yarn?
