Congrats!!!!

God even when I read the words "wedding plans" my insides tighten up. We had been planning a big wedding, which would have been the last weekend in March. We were just about to pay the $2500 for the venue we both got to this point where were like, "What the fuck are we doing??" So right before we spent a ton of money, we decided on a tasty barbecue with easy sides, a gorgeous redwood grove where we had our first kiss, a simple ceremony, and a REALLY yummy cake that didn't look half bad that I made myself. ;-)

Once you start with wedding plans... consider using the term "party" instead of "wedding" when making arrangements. Around here, venue prices jump even when it changes nothing on their end.

Thanks! I am super overwhelmed already and I haven't even planned anything yet. I like your idea of just having a laid back party. I remember seeing the pictures of your wedding and everyone looked like they had such a good time. That's all that matters, right? Good times and good people.

While I think not being a dick to your guests (something bridezillas forget) is important, having what you want is too. ;-) I just encourage you to get to the heart of what you two want, and enjoy the hell out of yourselves!

Yes, things have been very nice over here lately. I can't complain. Thank you! Amelia loves that skirt, too. The frillier the better, in her book! :)
