So in my illness, I've been unable to smoke. And since I've already gone three days without a cigarette, I've decided to quit altogether. It's not been so bad yet. I was too sick to even care during the first two days. I think the nicotine is officially out of my system now, so there's that. Addiction is a beast, I tell you. Good for you! That's exactly how Scott quit (12 years ago!) He was too sick to smoke and then just decided not to start back up again!

Good luck! I still say quitting smoking is one of the best things I've ever done. It took a few years for me to be fully over it and honestly, the hardest part was the social aspect. Doug quitting with you will be a big help. If you have friends who smoke, I would definitely say let them know you are serious about quitting so that they don't offer you cigarettes - that was always really hard for me. You can do it, though!
