I want a Syracuse care package...!!

I have been so homesick for Syracuse lately, I can't stand myself. I don't know why really, but I am missing home pretty bad. There is so much I can't get here in Wisconsin that I can only get in the Syracuse area

Actually, a lot of people around here do nothing but complain about the area... I want to smack them. I actually moved away and then moved back because I missed it!

I have a daughter who graduates next year and a son who just started high school. If they were younger I sure would move back. I read syracuse.com alot and people sure do complain about living there. I loved it there, and when I go home, I still see no fault in the Cuse.

I can appreciate your homesickness, but I'm curious... if you were to move again, would there be anything you missed about Wisconsin? If you asked for a Wisconsin care package, what would be in it?

That's a good question and a conversation I had with my son.

My Wisconsin care package would include:

Good Wiscsonsin cheese

Good Wisconsin beer...leinie's or capitol brewery thank you

I would probably get a craving for a brat even though they are not my favorite, but at the store brat fries they sure do smell good sometimes.

A foam cheesehead hat, because no state that I've been in has been so into their football team like the packers..its great.

The phrases "stop and go light", "come with", and "bubbler"

:o) Sarah has some Wisconsin love after all! Your kids have grown up here, haven't they? My family is pretty rooted in Wisconsin, so this is home to all of us. It must be weird to have your kids think of home as someplace completely different than you do.

As a Wisconsin native, my care package (you know, should I be abducted by aliens and not allowed to return) would include:

- Cheese curds, white, room temperature.
- Almond kringle.
- Beer brats.
- A Packer jersey. (But not a Favre one. Traitor.)
- A rock from Saxon Harbor on Lake Superior.
- A Friday Fish Fry.
- Permission to say "chripes" as often as I want without ridicule.
- Our ugly-ass pre-school story book drawing license plates.

In three years..I will have officially lived in Wisconsin longer than I lived in NY. I'm torn. I love and miss NY sooooooooo much, but I know if I leave, there will be a hole in my heart for Wisconsin.

The WI license plate does need a makeover. furreals.
