Wizardry pops up in almost all religions, usually by some other name but its there, hell there are even Christian Warlocks. As for Harry Potter, It always seemed to have a religious iclination (As well as being populated by a whole bunch of preppy white kids.)
Its like the whole Narnia thing (Only written in modern times when one is supposed to be sensitive of these things).
