Over lunch yesterday, I made a stop at the outlet mall to check out the sales on baby clothes. As I looked through store after store, I became more and more irritated. Every single store had their own version of monkey and dinosaur outfits or modes of transportation (airplanes, trucks, motorcycles). The variety and selection were much more limited ( Read more... )

Ah, the joys of shopping for baby boys. The sad thing? It just gets worse as they get older. Just what you wanted to hear, huh ( ... )

Yeah, poop stains are definitely something we'll have to deal with since we're planning to use cloth diapers. I guess I hadn't gotten so far as thinking about getting them out of clothes, though -- I'm sure before too long, I'll be thinking about it more than I'd like to be ;) This is good to know.

Ah, then you probably already have some hardcore detergent recipes from the CD community. I know my two friends who cloth diaper have their special recipes, anyway *lol*.

I'm glad you found so many good deals! These days bargains are a must. I won't lie-for both Madeline and Jackson we bought pretty pricey clothes, but for a good reason. They're made better and last longer. My trick was just not to buy too much of it in one siezze. I'd get a few in several sizes so they could grow with them. This way they could wear them over and over and over. To me, it made it worth it.

But I've recently discovered the joy of consignment shops and ebay with children's clothes. They're fantastic!

I cannot wait to see your sweet little one when he arrives.

I gotta go teach in a minute, but two quick comments:

1. I am so with you on used baby clothes, especially since he won't really be aware of what he's wearing anyway.

2. Sorry to hear about the rings! Mine fit pretty tightly as it is and, of all the discomforts and concerns of pregnancy, that's the one I'll be least looking forward to when we start our family.
