Can anyone think of any "great artists" that changed the face of any genre of music? All I've come up with so far is George Krumb, but as far as classical composers go, I'm trying to stay away (No Bach or anything). Any genre is fine, as long as the artist has somehow influenced and changed the face of music in some way. Can anyone think of...

I would have to say the biggest would be the originals of rock 'n' roll, buddly holly and chuck berry. You can also go with Jimi Hindrex who pretty much reinvented the way guitar can be played. Personally I think red hot brought back a trend of a lot of slap bassists...but, I'm not sure how accurate that is. But pretty much if you go with any legendary, and i mean BIG group or artist, they will fit, because people aren't popular for doing the same thing...what makes them popular is how they do new stuff...so...there ya go, hope that helped some

Anyway! I don't have any new ideas, except to drool over Kurt Cobain. I am in NY now! I miss talking to you! My room is really hot right now, so I am never in my room, so I am never online! I hope school is going well. Talk to you soon!

So, what was the big secret about? Why'd you tell me not to say anything? My vote is still for Crumb, but from the looks of it you don't really need my help anymore.
