Ottawa goes 10-digit

Now they are being gentle about it, and redirecting the numbers if you dial the 7-digit extension, but I asked my parents and Ottawa is going the way of Toronto with 10-digit dialing. Boo!

I wonder what other area code Ottawa will be given other than 613..

I haven't gotten used to dialing the 613 yet. Even though they redirect it, I find it takes too long to listen to their message in English and French, so I usually just hang up and redial correctly. Maybe that was their intention. We'll learn faster.

hahaha. They're making Waterloo 10-digit as well. But we only have a message in English. =) much shorter.

Apparently there's no second area code yet, but it looks like it has something to do with 819 over in Gatineau...
