My massive packing adventure has been turning up a bunch of things that I don't need anymore, or that I'm not attached enough to to schlep them along. But just because I'm not bringing them with me doesn't mean they should find themselves homeless! I might want in on this. We could possibly even do the swap at my place. But instead of a swap, I'd rather make it a tag sale. If I'm getting rid of stuff, it's because I don't want to take it with me to my new place, I want to save room and money for getting things once I'm in the new place and any extra dollars here and there that I can take in for myself would be helpful. Anything I can't sell, I'd probably give to the Salvation Army. There's a drop off office on 96th Street.

Well the idea would be to do both a swap and a tag sale. You wouldn't have to swap if you didn't want to but I'd like to have that option open for anyone who might be interested.

Any idea what the Salvation Army's donation policy is?

Well, they've taken pretty much anything I've brought them. But they have told me they don't want textbooks.

There's also a Salvation Army right near me. I threw away a lot of stuff when I moved but I do need a few things, like a TV table and a bookcase or CD/DVD shelf.

I'm still mulling over a housewarming party in July or August, but you should just come over sometime soon anyway!

I should. Because I have no idea when we're moving. I guess at the very least I'll be coming over before Siren.

I probably won't have time to go through stuff to barter/sell, but I might be interested in seeing what other people have for sale!
