I have a friend who bought her wedding dress about seven years ago. She said it just spoke to her, and now it's sitting in storage waiting for the right opportunity to wear it.

I think if you find something that speaks to you and says, "I'm meant to celebrate you," you should definitely consider buying it. Or at least saving the picture so you can reference it when the time is right.
