Well this is depressing.

Do you know what I just realized?
I'm really on the last leg of my life before LIFE.
These are the last 4 years I will ever be truly free.

Once I get to college, I'll be on my own.
I'll have to work. I won't have free time like this anymore.
And then after college, I'm either working or trying to find work. No more freedom. If I don't find a job, I'll be in horrible debt.
And I'll never stop working until I'm either retired or dead. We as human beings live kind of a shit life, don't you think?
I mean, in retrospect, you have about 13 years of freedom, because you don't really get to control what you do until you're about 8.
And the for the rest of your life, you might think you're free, but you aren't. Just because you don't live with your parents doesn't mean you can do what you want. Once you get a degree in whatever, you have to make choices on your own and take responsibility for your actions. You basically have 2 choices: Work, get paid, and settle down, or do what you did in high school;
Don't do work, don't find a job.
And I guess that's when most people realize that they have to do something in order to live in a society like ours.

I'm rambling again. I guess I'm just questioning what we're all living for. Love? That fades after a while. Money? Why live for money if it can be spent in a heartbeat? After we're gone, will it really matter to anyone? Not everyone will impact the world. In fact, hardly ANYONE will truly impact anything. I mean, I'm sure that we'll leave some sort of legacy within our close circle of friends, but why is that important? If we don't get out there and make a difference, our death will be just another tombstone in a cemetery.

I think what I'm trying to say is,
I guess we just have to live for ourselves and not worry about who we will affect, right?
Live for today, and don't worry about tomorrow. People will remember us if they want to, and if they don't, then that's not our problem.
As long as we're happy with what we've accomplished in our lifetime, that's all that really matters, isn't it?
