EW is one of my favorite magazines, and I'm thrilled that they covered you in it! You're certainly worthy of their attention!!!

The cover is beautiful and atmospheric. I like how the city is casting a kind of chiaroscuro onto the title, although I could maybe do without the red.

The excerpt is also beautiful and atmospheric! Lucie (whose name, I realize, is from Dickens, but still, how perfect) has a lovely way of evoking the opulence (and menace?) of all that light.

I am looking forward to reading this one, and I hope it's a huge success for you. I hope the gorgeous cover - which seems designed to appeal to a broad audience, maybe? - and the fancy EW article mean that your publisher is really getting behind it!

My publisher is certainly most kind to get me the EW article, and it was a very surprising and very exciting thing for me. ;) I share your kind hopes and am very glad you enjoyed the excerpt, specially as descriptive writing is my bugbear!
