This is not world-explodingly important, and nothing is riding on it, so don't worry about crushing my fragile ego or knowing anything about Writing as an Art. I don't know anything, either.
I have an original fiction project that I'd like to open for comments. I hesitate to even say "beta-reading" - it's probably more like alpha-reading.
It's low fantasy / interpersonal drama (i.e. some magic, no world-saving). This section is about 80 pages long in Word (44k words), and represents the first 10 chapters of a story. It is the project that I talk about and chart incessantly over on Dreamwidth. Nobody has read it yet. If anyone's interested, I'd like to change that.
Summary:
Freshly graduated from the prestigious Academy of the Divine Balance, Agna, a magical healer, sets out on her mandatory tour of public service. But glory and acclaim are in short supply in the field, and she's never been graded on her people skills.
Keywords:
Road trips from hell, ambiguously shippy bickering, fish out of water, the abrupt need to grow up, culture clashes. It is not a self-insert. I promise. Rated PG-13 for some violence, and the overall tone of post-collegiate angst and boring adult problems. Secondary narrator is LGBT, if that bothers anyone.

I'd rather not post it directly online just in case I do decide to "do something with it" someday, so I am thinking about:
- linking to a doc/pdf in a locked post (makes me nervous, since the doc is just "out there")
- emailing/messaging a doc/pdf (if anyone wants to step forward to do so)
I suppose I could put it in print if you're local. That weirds me out a little bit, so I should take the opportunity to get over that.
It should be technically readable (formatted/typo-corrected etc.). I just want to see whether it would be a fun thing to share. If not, shrug, I'll keep writing it for myself.
If you are local, I will make you cookies or ice cream / Italian ice / gelato. If you're not local, I dunno, name a favor. I can copy-edit pretty well, casual online writing aside.
