I guess if extenuating circumstances anyone could be pushed kill someone, or if your life is in danger.

Chuck said when it comes to friends and family, it's ok to break the rules. That was the only thing that went through my head when I was looking at the Fulcrum agent down the barrel of my gun. When it comes to friends and family it's ok to break the rules.
Shoot to incapacitate first...I should have done that. Casey could have taken him to prison, it would have been fine. Somewhere in the back of my mind, I knew what he was saying was right. There are ways that prisoners, even ones the government pretends don't exist, to get messages to the outside. The last one I wanted out there was, "Chuck Bartowski is the Intersect".
I knew how that would turn out. The three of us would be on the run, forced away from everything. Eventually the government would figure it out, and Chuck would be sent to his own CIA
prison facility. He'd never see his friends or family again. Those people are part of who Chuck is. I can't take that away from him.
