I’m just starting Goblet of Fire and I’m still really enjoying all the books.

Reasons Today is Awesome
1. We got a proper couch. Our couches in Colorado were purchased used and the ones we brought from Saginaw we straight up wore out. We’ve been using a very nice-looking loveseat but we had need of a proper couch and we got it today. Benefits of buying local? They delivered it WITHIN THE HOUR.

It's all relative
It helps if you know that I had a dream last night/this morning that involved my dad. A lot. More than in recent memory. And even though I posted this almost two years ago, it's still true.

I realized I hadn't logged in since my power cord died.
This is worth sharing however:
If the recommendations to postpone mammogramming to 50 had been in place in 2000, my mother would be dead.
If the recommendations to postpone PAPs to age 21 had been in place in 1994, I'd be dead.

Awkward moments in bartending
1. A couple with whom I'm having conversation at work. We are the only three in the bar. They are recently delivered of a baby (six months?) and in conversation the woman gets increasingly emotional. As the level of her voice rises, eventually practically yelling "I love you and just want you to PAY SOME ATTENTION TO ME." I could tell where it was ( Read more... ) -
