Today, Yesterday, Tomorrow

Tonight I am prepping for a massive tie-dye event at the little one's end of year picnic. For all my fabric dyeing, resisting, stamping remaking etc., I've never actually "tie-dyed." I'm a little nervous about the 50 kids I will work with, 5 at a time. And that I'm not sure where we are going only that it is really nice. So I'm nervous about ( Read more... )

I completely hear you on the fabric dying. I gave it up in part because I couldn't handle the buckets and in part because even using nonbucket techniques I was trying to do it as a secret from Emily and it just wasn't manageable.

It's not like fabric dyeing is going to go away and not be there when she's grown.

PS I still have a TON of mixed dye if you want to come over and dye anything tomorrow.

I think the dye will still work. I mixed it this morning and didn't put any mordants into, but instead soaked the shirts on site and then had the kids dye them.
