101112 JYJ Showcase in NYC
My JYJ Showcase in NYC fan account. sorry, got a little lazy and just copy & pasted from my post in onetvxq.com.. xD
so while i was at work on Tuesday, i found out that JYJ had boarded a plane to NYC. the adventures begin. xD i wanted to go greet them at the airport but had to stay late at work. When I finally arrived at the airport, there were already about 20+ fans there waiting. About five minutes later, the airport staff said they had already left. Unfortunately, the JYJ staff tricked the fans and JYJ had exited another door “due to safety reasons”. Oh well.. first day = fail.
Then the next day, I decided last minute just to see if I can catch a glimpse of them. I decided to head to their hotel after work. While there, I befriended a couple of fans and we waited there for JYJ to return. While waiting, we heard another fan say one of the members tweeted a pic of junsu in the back of a limo. We all assumed that this meant they would be returning soon. Low and behold, about 5 minutes later a black limo pulled up to the curb of the hotel and out came Jaejoong! He looked as sexy as ever, with his usual swagger and sunglasses on. He walked straight into the hotel and while I was watching him from the door, I saw a guy with a yellow hoodie on pass me and I realized it was Yoochun! Then I looked behind him coz I was sure Junsu was somewhere too and there was his bright red hair which I noticed first. They walked right pass me. I was shocked because I thought it was only Jaejoong in this limo. I saw other fans rushing in so I followed. As we went in, I saw Yoochun and Junsu stop at the lobby and talk to their staff. I guess Jaejoong didn’t see the other members stop and came walking back with his arms out and was saying something like “what’s going on?”. When they heard the fans getting closer, the staff ushered the members into the elevator. I was pretty satisfied with seeing them so close but when I looked back on my fancam, I realized I only captured Jaejoong walking away from the limo.. I thought I had recorded all of the boys entering the hotel door in front of me… stupid ipod touch camera.. D:

I didn’t get another chance to see the boys until Friday, the showcase day. I arrived in the morning and joined the other O!/IntlCassieProj/Wish4Chance staff to hand out fliers, lightsticks and stickers from O!. Unfortunately, a short while later, a staff from JYJ’s PR company approached us and said we needed to stop distributing our goods. Making a long story short, we had one of our staff’s friend sneak the lightsticks to fans because we really wanted to show JYJ a red ocean. Mission = success! ^^
Finally at around 7:30 or so, they started to let us in. after some false excitement, the lights lowered and out came JYJ! It was so fast so I don’t really remember much but the interview was cute. They were asked if they read the fans’ comments to them on twitter and I was happy to hear that they atleast try to read them. The boys were also asked about their tattoos and the MCs made Yoochun show his lower back tattoo.. sexy!! I tried to take a pic but people were pushing so badly that I gave up. Then Yoochun said he wanted to get a tattoo in NY, something related to his family. I swear, ChunJae are so obsessed with tattoos.. they were also asked what they liked about NYC. Junsu said the skyscrapers, jaejoong said this here with all the fans and yoochun tried to say taxis but it sounded like he said taxes.. lol! The fans kinda giggled at him and yoochun looked confused as if he wasn’t sure if he just made a mistake but the MC just humoured him and at the end yoochun said something like “I like taxis” although it still sounded like taxes to me. So cute!

After the concert, I got a call from the coordinator for MTVK’s secret event. I was ecstatic! She said that I could bring a friend so I brought another O! staff member, linhkawaii with me. The next day we headed out and arrived at the studio around 12:30pm. I thought we were so late so we kinda rushed there and saw a short line of fans waiting outside. The staff would come out every so often to take pics of the fans outside and they even made us scream down the line which was fun. xD after what seemed like forever, the staff finally let us in. the place was really small but it had a really nice area with chandeliers and I saw the stools where JYJ would be sitting. Unfortunuately I was stuck behind two tall fans so I couldn’t see Jaejoong throughout the whole event!! But I had pretty clear views of yoochun and sometimes junsu. The staff instructed us to be very quiet since their performances would all be acoustic and live. To say the least, the boys sounded amazing! They would practice the song once and then sing it again live. During the breaks, the staff would come up to retouch their makeup or give them water. One time the fans started singing “oh Micky your’s so fine” song and yoochun started to lipsync along and then giggled at the end. Someone also yelled out yunjae which made jaejoong smile shyly. Yoochun also made a lot of NGs while introducing their song. He did like 5 takes and after he finally got it at the end, he let out a deep breath and slumped down in front of his mic. So cute! Lol! The fans shouted for him to make him feel better. I have to say, I loved empty acoustic version the best. I wish they’d released an official version of it. Afterwards, we met the staff that gave us a special entrance to the event. She was super sweet. We also decided to take pics on the stools the boys sat at. Since the other seats were taken, we sat on yoochun’s seat and took pics. Puahahaha.. I can say I sat at the same seat he did. xD
Unfortunately, the staff told us we were not allowed to take pics or record the event so I don’t have pics of JYJ singing. D: but below is a pic of the place they recorded at. ^^
Overall, the experience was awesome. It wasn’t as fangirl-filled as my usual fan accounts but it was really great seeing them again. Their performances are still as great as ever and I really hope they come back again soon. Anyone else having JYJ withdrawal symptoms? xD
