Kimi wa Petto (a la Jaejoong);
The dreams we thought were over are pressing at our backs again,
The memories engraved begin to clamor,
Holding the limited love and time in both hands,
At least for today, please don't disappear
- Pikanchi Double, ARASHI

Although the statement was intended as a joke, in all reality and twisted fantasy, Jaejoong did think of his band members as pets.
The first one and the easiest to tame, Junsu. Coaxing him to obey his orders only took small pats on the back, some ruffling of his hair, good food and play time in front of the PC. Jaejoong didn’t mind at all, not when he said, ‘Junsu, let’s go for a drive!’ at 3 a.m. when they just got back from Japan and Junsu nodded, no question asked as he donned his jacket and took the passenger seat. Junsu was entertaining too, darting here and there while whistling aloud like an over-energized puppy - definitely a major plus to Jaejoong since he needed the laugh after a long, hard day.
The second was a bit hard to pet since he bit and barked whenever Jaejoong touched him. Changmin was a tough fighter, quick hands slapping Jaejoong away whenever he tried to be nice. But Jaejoong never gave up, he knew Changmin’s biggest weakness and easily exploited it. Drawing him close with the smell of home-cooked meal, Jaejoong won Changmin’s trust with the skills he learned from both his mothers. The pet could never win against his jjigae and ttokbokki! Changmin was also useful when Jaejoong needed someone to control his other pets, especially Junsu. The fierceness was absolutely necessary.
His third pet was his favorite catch, because this one followed him nearly everywhere and listened to all the crap he said. Yoochun was a bit of a depressed pet, and Jaejoong was drawn to him because he wanted to make him feel happy and less lonely. Yoochun was Jaejoong’s ultimate best friend, the one he couldn’t live without. Sometimes when he felt emotional, Yoochun would be there, loyally sitting next to him as he poured his heart out. When they made music together, Yoochun’s gentle touch would give life to their songs - giving them souls. He never have to bribe Yoochun with anything to keep him around, because he knew his companionship and loyalty was more precious to this pet than anything else.
His last pet was definitely, without a doubt, the most difficult and hard to fathom compared to other three. Yunho needed and expected nothing, and was a very proud alpha male that wanted to lead and protect. Jaejoong found it hard to think why he was so attached to this pet, and why when it comes to Yunho, he wanted to be petted by him instead of petting him. And it was ridiculously easy for Jaejoong to get mad at him too, because sometimes he just wouldn’t listen to what Jaejoong say! When Jaejoong patted his back and ruffled his hair, Yunho would shy away and run to his room. When Jaejoong offered him food, Yunho would refuse and say he was on a diet. When he asked Yunho to listen, Yunho would grumble and lecture him instead. What a nerves-grating pet! But Jaejoong loved him still, because despite the odds and hardships, he adored Yunho’s strength the most, and thought he was the best there was. Yunho was his pride, and always will be.
So when the MCs asked Jaejoong does he miss his pets, he had answered in all honesty he doesn’t miss them because really, why would he when his four ‘pets’ were always around. Now though, he was sure the answer would be different. He was sure he would say,
‘I miss them so much it feels like dying.’
