Doll.
Yunho/Jaejoong.
AU, Angst-ish.
It's Yunho's job to be impartial, but this one doll just catches his eye, it's an unexplained feeling but he's just too beautiful.

Prompt: Doll.

"The newest one." Changmin, Yunho's Technology Manager, announced as he briskly entered the room, another pair of footsteps behind him, "Most deserving out of the recent batch, hardest worker and also loyal and eager - he signed the contract after fifteen minutes of meeting with us, not even a hestitating breath."

Yunho looked up from his desk to see the pale face of a young boy, who he would've guessed was about seventeen, but he knew that he wouldn't have been accepted if he was no less than eighteen.

"Real name, Kim Jaejoong. Nineteen years old. Born in Gongju. Raised in Seoul. Payment agreement after five years, 2.5 billion won." Changmin read from his clipboard, seemingly ticking off boxes as he inspected 'Jaejoong''s figure.

Interest, would be what Yunho would tell Changmin. The boy was interesting. And so when Yunho made his way to the young man and he became unable to control his itching fingers, he would ignore Changmin's questioning gaze, because he was only interested.

Tender fingers traced the skin of the porcelain face. Surely not - he thought, the pads of his fingers becoming used to all the lines and the feeling of the face - this is surely not a doll.

Surely, no one as beautiful as this would ever need to sell their life for five years to be imprinted with someone else's personality, just to earn some money.

"He's homeless, no parents. His foster family threw him out because he's homosexual. He needs our money to save his life." Changmin, told him.

Yunho felt his heart clench, the boy's expressionless face and dead eyes staring back at him enough to make him want to give him his life back along with the money. Never in his life had he been this affected by one doll, one person.

He held a force, like gravity. Pulling Yunho closer to him with his unblinking eyes framed with perfectly aligned eyelashes, the gaps where his life should be just reflecting Yunho's own face.

"Why do I never get to judge who comes into this place?"

"You're too emotional." Changmin answered flatly, checking 'Jaejoong''s blank state by waving in front of his eyes, "You would never let a boy like this in here. And yet he needs it more than the old men just trying to earn extra cash. We've gotten rid of all of them. They've done their time. They've all been replaced with boys like this, you're going to have to get used to it."

Yunho glanced back at the boy's face, his skin reflecting the glow from the light. What would he look like if that glow was natural? Did he have a glint in his eye? Did his laugh penetrate every other sound the would could ever think of producing? How did his voice sound in general? How was his real personality? Did he sparkle? Was he as beautiful inside as he was outside?

"Can you just upload hisself back again so I can talk to him?" Yunho asked quietly, a solo finger running across the young man's chin.
"We both know that's a bad idea."

Yunho sighed.

"He can have the name Youngwoong." Changmin said, completing his details and shutting Youngwoong down, the young boy's eyelids closing, "I'll send Heechul in to take him to his room, so he can be given his vacant personality."

The door clicked into place and Yunho stood, paralysed, his eyes glued to face of the boy, who could've kidded everyone into thinking he was asleep. Innocence and purity.

Running his thumb over Youngwoong's closed eyelids, Yunho breathed out.

He's just like all of the others.
