I honestly just pulled that "poetry" out of my ass at the last minute bc i wanted jaebum to have some sort of inanimate connection with jinyoung. Like the video in night light.

Idk if you read the parallel companion to this fic, but you notice that Jiyeon is present. I had a plot that involved her wanting Jaebum for herself & jinyoung out of the picture. (But i didn't know how to insert that in, my imagination is limited af.)

So she played with his insecurity (the classic 'he's a guy, you're a guy, i'm a girl, fuck off speech).
There was a line near the end of Night Light (you don't deserve him) caused jinyoung to leave in the first place.

Basically i just wanted an antagonist & Jiyeon seemed like the perfect fit (but idk what she's like irl, i love her honestly)
