When Love Doesn't Go Your Way [Chapter 1]
Ryeowook was wandering around the school like a lost sheep… or should I say a lost hamster? Anyways… he was new to this school. Carrying his school map paper, he looked up at the sign above the door. ‘Class A-1’ Ryeowook smiled when he finally found the class he was supposed to be in.
He walked in and saw different kinds of boys. Some were chatting, some were playing with their game consoles and some were bullying others. Why only boys? Because this was an all boys school Ryeowook transferred into. Ryeowook chose a seat at the back and sat down, putting all his things down.
When Ryeowook looked up again, he saw some boys gawking over a group that just walked in. They seemed really rich. The group came up to Ryeowook and Ryeowook became a little scared. “Excuse me, but this seat is taken” a big guy said. Ryeowook could sense people staring at him and it was getting uncomfortable.
“Sorry” Ryeowook apologized and gathered his stuff. “It’s ok. He can sit there” a guy said behind him. “But…” the big guy explained but was cut off. “It’s ok Kangin… he can sit there. He’s a new guy” the guy said and sat down on the seat next to Ryeowook.
The Kangin guy huffed and sat in front of Ryeowook. One of the other 2 sat in front of guy and the other, next to the guy. The guy seemed to be the head of the group, or should I say, the leader. Ryeowook couldn’t keep his curiousity off the guy and stared at him.
The Kangin person turned around and saw Ryeowook staring at the guy. He frowned and knocked on Ryeowook’s table. Ryeowook flinched and turned back frontwards and saw the Kangin guy looking at him. “Rule #1 of this school… you can’t fall in love with Eunhyuk” he said and smirked. Then pointed to the guy sitting next to Ryeowook. “You see him? That’s Eunhyuk” he continued.
Ryeowook looked confused as to why he was explaining that but nodded. “Why?” Ryeowook asked. “Don’t ask questions. That’s just the rule. Rule #2. You can’t fall in love with Kyuhyun” the Kangin guy continued. He pointed to the guy sitting next to Eunhyuk. “You see him? That’s Kyuhyun” he continued. Ryeowook tilted his head in confusion.
“Rule #3… you can’t fall in love with Hankyung” he continued. He then pointed to the guy sitting in front of Eunhyuk and next to him. “You see that guy? He’s Hankyung” he continued. Ryeowook looked at the Hankyung guy. “He seems….” Ryeowook said but was cut off by the Kangin guy. “Yeap… he’s Chinese alright. By the way, I’m Kangin. And that’s the #4 rule… me. You can’t fall in love with me” Kangin said and smirked. “Not that anyone has…” the Hankyung guy said when he overheard the both of them.
Ryeowook snickered and Kangin shot a glare at both Hankyung and Ryeowook. “Anyways… I don’t expect you to be anywhere near Eunhyuk. Understand?” Kangin said before turning around. Ryeowook was surprised at what kind of school this school was. Or even better… what was in stored for him.
The recess bell soon rang and Ryeowook packed up his stuff. He was about to stand up with a few boys walked over to him. “Hi. You’re Ryeowook right?” one of them asked. Ryeowook nodded. “I’m Sungmin. That’s Heechul and that’s Eeteuk” he introduced. Ryeowook smiled at the both of them. “Want to go eat lunch together?” Eeteuk asked. Ryeowook nodded and stood up and carried his bag. “Oh… so you have met the SJ4” Heechul said. “SJ4?” Ryeowook repeated. “Yea… the Eunhyuk-Hankyung-Kyuhyun-Kangin group” Eeteuk explained. “Oh… yea…” Ryeowook said. “Don’t worry about it too much” Eeteuk said and smiled. Ryeowook nodded.
They reached the kitchen. “Oh you’re new here. Let’s see your schedule” Heechul said. Ryeowook took out his schedule from his bag and handed it over to Heechul. The 3 of them looked at the schedule together. “Wonderful. You have free next period too” Heechul said and smiled. “Hmm?” Ryeowook asked, confused. “We can show you around school” Sungmin said. Ryeowook oh-ed and smiled.
“SJ4’S COMING!!” one boy shouted. And soon enough, the 4 boys walked into the cafeteria. They seemed like they were shining and sparkling. “Eunhyuk-shi, Kyuhyun-shi, Hankyung-shi, Kangin-shi, you’re lunch is here” one guy said. Eunhyuk smiled at him and thanked him.
“Ah~ isn’t Eunhyuk-shi just perfect??” Ryeowook heard one guy said. “Umm… may I know what kind of guy this Eunhyuk is?” Ryeowook asked. The 3 turned to him. “Well… SJ4 is made up of 4 rich guys. All 4 are best friends. They met when they were little children from their families” Heechul said. “So… are they those groups who bully?” Ryeowook asked.
“Oh, no they aren’t… it’s just that the 3 are overprotective of Eunhyuk” Sungmin explained. “Why?” Ryeowook asked. “Nobody knows. You’ve heard of the #1 rule right?” Heechul asked. “Yea… umm… what’s the reason behind that?” Ryeowook asked. “No one knows. Some say because he’s a playboy. Some says because he’s too good to date. There really isn’t a definite answer” Sungmin explained. Ryeowook just nodded.
SJ4 POV
“So… another new guy…” Kangin said. “He’s kind of cute isn’t he…” Eunhyuk said. Kangin gave him a look. “You better not fall for him” Kangin said. “Yes I know, daddy” Eunhyuk huffed. “Hmpf! I’m proud to be called your dad!” Kangin huffed. “Good. Because you just called yourself old” Eunhyuk teased. “YAH!” Kangin raised his voice.
“Kangin!” Hankyung shouted. Kangin then realized what he had done and kept quiet. “Sorry…” Kangin apologized sincerely. Eunhyuk smiled at him. “It’s ok” Eunhyuk said and smiled at him. Suddenly someone’s handphone rang. ‘Dareunsaram pilyo obseo… nan geunyang neorago~’ It was Eunhyuk’s ringtone.
Eunhyuk took his phone and smiled. He received an sms from his best friend, aside from Kangin, Kyuhyun and Hankyung. “From Junsu again?” Kangin asked and frowned. “Yeap” Eunhyuk answered happily and texted back. “I don’t like that guy” Kangin huffed. “Yea yea… just because Eunhyuk and him dated before and Junsu was the one who broke up with him you don’t like him…” Kyuhyun said with a smirk.
“Yah! Do you want to die?!” Kangin threatened. “Quite down. You’re attracting attention” Eunhyuk said. “We attract attention without even doing anything” Kyuhyun said. Eunhyuk pouted. “Stop bullying him” Hankyung said and patted Eunhyuk. Eunhyuk smiled at him.
Eunhyuk suddenly started coughing, really badly. Kangin, Hankyung and Kyuhyun immediately turned towards Eunhyuk. “Quick! Carry him to the nurse’s office! NOW” Hankyung shouted. Kangin immediately picked Eunhyuk up in bridal style and rushed out of the cafeteria. Kyuhyun and Hankyung dug into their bags and took out some pills. “Let’s go!” Hankyung shouted.
NORMAL POV
Ryeowook turned around when he saw Kangin carrying Eunhyuk and rushed out of the cafeteria. He saw how much Eunhyuk had coughed. How bad it was.
