It's amazing how much my day can be brightened just by getting a text message from an old friend, just because she thought of me.

Well, it's now about 3:30 in the morning and I am about half an hour away from getting picked up to go to the airport. The flight is not until 8, but we have to get there by 6 and pick up a couple of other people first. North Carolina was lovely, as it is every year.
