I wish I had some prize to give out for reading the whole thing. How about a hug the next time I see you? Keep me posted about your travel plans (if you have any), maybe we could meet up if we're in the same city.

Yes! My poor mother was mortified. She had just been through a long labor and without much help from the hospital staff because the IRA had just bombed the city so there were all these injured people needing assistance. I can totally see my dad saying that though. He has that kind of humour.
