Stuff I've Been Up To

I have been bad about updating. I've had a lot of things going on which is more the reason to update. I just haven't felt like it. So, a quick list:

1. Sarah K. got married! I was the maid of honor and it was a lovely service/reception. I'm really excited for both of them and it was nice to see her and Jared. It was sad that they had to leave though.

Do you mean the general plot or all of the plotting I've been doing. Because I'll have to e-mail you the larger plot aspects. Not to mention the fact that they're pretty incoherent. Just in general, I've been working on my Malaria Girl project that I told you about a while ago. Let me know if you want a refresher.

Speaking of NaNo, what are you planning on doing this year?

Yesh, I'd happily take a refresher. Don't worry about incoherency, I'm a good translator.

Oh god, I've got this science fantasy thing going on this year. It's all weird and even I don't really know where I'm going with it yet.

This is pretty much the blurb I sent you last time with one or two changes.

More or less, it's about the adventures of Malaria Girl who, while working in her microbiology lab, was exposed to radioactive malaria. From that day forward she could give people the symptoms of malaria. That is, alternating chills and fevers. She decided to use her powers for good and fight evil. Her arch nemesis is Dr. Quinine. She is also joined by her sidekick, Mosqie boy, and her best friend, Nurse Invisible Friend (who has the powers of being invisible, spiritual friendship, and being a nurse). Together they fight the evildoers in their world such Little Ricky and the Pissiform Posse. They are occasionally joined by other heroes such as Calcium Man (whose powers include strengthening bones and a blindingly white smile) and the anti-microbials.

Ooh I would love to see a picture of you as maid of honor :-D. I'm glad about your job, but sad it is only until the end of October :(

I don't think any of the photos are available yet but I'll be sure to post them or point you in the direction of them when they are. BTW, I loved the picture of you and Sergio that you guys sent in the thank you notes. It was tres adorable.

Are they hiring at the VAMC? My sister did her last clinical there and loved it.

They're hiring but you either have to have experience or have had a clinical there. Otherwise I would be applying. Unfortunately, a lot of places that are hiring don't take new grads or prefer not to hire them.
