I never do real updates anymore...

[a] Pick one dozen movies that are ones that you have special feelings about.
[b] Pick a few lines of dialogue.
[c] As people guess the film, strike out that entry.
[d] After the film is guessed, explain why that movie made the list.

1. "Look out America! Here comes Colin Frissel! And he's got a big knob!"
2. "And God said 'where the hell is Tim?' And there the hell was Tim. And God said, 'Let there be doors that open when they open, and close when they close."
3. "You! It was you! (character name deleted) was right! You're a phony! You're a PHONY! Yes, and you know what, you can't even sing! You were dubbed!"
4. "I do not mean to pry, but you don't by any chance happen to have six fingers on your right hand?" "Do you always begin conversations this way?"
5. "So much of what I see reminds me of something I read in a book, when, shouldn't it be the other way around?"
6. "What, my dear lady Disdain. Are you yet living?"
7. "I wanna be just like you. I figure all I need is a lobotomy and some tights."
8. "Get your lesbian feet out of my shoes!"
9. "Yo, I gotta have sex tonight! I mean peep this - They say here ninety-two percent of the honeys at UCLA are sexually active. Ninety-two of the women in Los Angeles at UCLA walking around going, "Class... or sex? What shall I do?" Ninety-two percent, yo! Hey, you know what that means? It means I gots a ninety-two percent chance of embarrassing myself. I roll up on that shorty be like, "Hey baby, what's up?" she be like, "You don't know 20 different ways to make me call you Big Poppa" cuz I don't yo."
10. "Where are you goin'? To flog your log?" "Much better then hanging around here with you dorks."
11. "Waiter, there is too much pepper in my paprikas. But I would be pleased to partake of your pecan pie."
12. "Ah! Kimono comes from the Greek word Himone, which means winter. And what do you wear in winter when it gets cold? A robe. Kimono, robe. There you go."

1. I chose Love Actually because, first of all I'm a sucker for love stories, and because it has almost all of my favorite English actors in it. (Not to mention Emma Thompson, who is my acting God.) I saw the movie like 5 times in theatres--its sick.
4. I picked The Princess Bride because, I just love the story. It's funny, and a romance. I'm a sucker for those.
5. You've Got Mail is one of my all-time favorite movies. The quote I picked was what I chose for my senior quote in high school.
6. Much Ado About Nothing is my all-time favorite play, and I adore the movie. I can quote the first 15 minutes verbatim, and then the rest of the movie in fits and starts. This is the movie that made me love Shakespeare and Emma Thompson.
9. The Breakfast Club is a classic. I used to quote this all the time in high school. Hell, I still do. Plus, like my dear friend Vicky, I too am a little in love with John Bender.
8. Bend it Like Beckham I heard about while watching late-night tv when it premiered at Sundance, and I wanted to see it so bad. So, until it came to the Amherst theatre, I hunted the internet for information about it.
9. Dori and I used to quote Can't Hardly Wait all the time during Drama Club in high school. It brings back the memories. :)
10. Alex and I quote this line from When Harry Met Sally all the freaking time. You would think we get tired of it, but we don't.
12. Like Love Actually I saw My Big Fat Greek Wedding in the theatres an insane amount of times, and it never got old. I adore this movie.

ETA: Ahaha, I only did 10 instead of 12 movies, so I added 2 more. I'm smart.
