FRINGE OMG (yet again)

So, just looking forward to the next Fringe episode, minding my own business, and maybe expecting something just a lil' bit trippy. The episode was, after all, call LSD. Yeah well, I should have known better.

IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!

I love head-trippy episodes. Like the one in farscape where D'argo puts John in a coma (that one had cartoons too!) or the one in farscape where John was being interrogated/tortured by the scaran. And now this. Actually, someday, I'm going to make a list of trippy-awesome episodes. But now, onto the specifics, and I must contain my ramblings to the normal perception of space-time, and not sum buzzing cloud of thought, because I doubt anyone reading this is a mindreader (or that anyone is reading the at all. Semantics) Let's go:

  • Peter on LSD: "You're bald." (Pause to look creepily). "He's bald. I think he's an observer."
For those of you who don't know, this is and observer:

This is Phillip Broyles (and Peter's boss):

Add in the fact that the observers are immortal, creepy and well observers and Broyles is very much human, not-creepy and someone who does a lot of interfering, I'm gonna have to say, he's not an observer

  • But wait, there's more. Let's look at the Inception-ness of the episode. Everyone is generated by the subconscious and wants to attack them (check). It is set in someones unconscious (check). Everyone is a cartoon (If this happened in Inception, I really missed a lot). Whatever you say, they may have nicked the ideas from Inception, but they made it well and truly Fringe).

  • Even funnier than Peter on acid ('What's funnier than Peter on Acid?' you say), is Broyles on acid. Yes. We do get to see him whistling at cartoon birdies that land on Walter's shoulder. This just goes to tell that cleaning up anything in Walters lab, while amusing, is best left to the professionals

  • Peter wasn't a complete idiot this time. He can actually learn from his mistakes. Yes, he has finally graduated towards actually noticing when your girlfriend isn't you girlfriend

  • And now for the OMG ending. There was a creepy cartoon man who tried to kill them all. Back to reality (sadly, this means we leave the cartoons behind) we have Olivia sketching this mystery man. When Peter asks her who it was, she just replies "I think it might be the man who is going to kill me." and continues drinking her coffee. Typical.

Also, check out my new layout. かわいいね。 It's got ふじ山 in the background and さくら in the foreground. Very Japanese themed, which I love. It also has a fox doing some writing, another thing close to my heart. I doubt it's fanfiction it's got there, but if so, what fandom? For what show/book/movie does this fox write?
