I only get 48 to 60 hours away from this house all week. That means I'm by my mothers side day in and day out (I sleep on the couch next to her hospital bed) for 108 to 120 hours. When the call came in I was with Brian during my time off. Out of respect for my limited time away - nobody calls me unless it's an emergency involving mom that I have to come home for - so that by the time I came back home, no one remembered to give me the message.
I know that that sounds really shitty but we're all on pins and needles these days.

Uncle Keith always knew how I felt about him. He's one of the reasons I was able to find recovery from drugs and alcohol. I will always honor him for that.
