Room 411, Sunday afternoon

Feb 15, 2015 12:48

One moment, Carmilla's bed was empty (and unmade, because that required more effort than Carmilla was willing to give). A second later, Carmilla herself appeared, struggling with a writhing mass of rose vines. She had them clutched in one hand, holding them away from her body so the thorns couldn't scratch her more than they already had ( Read more... )

Hanna came back in very soon after Carmilla arrived, and did a double-take.

"Carmilla?" She frowned. "Are you-- bleeding?"

"Just a few scratches," Carmilla said, grabbing a long sleeved shirt from the pile of clothing next to her bed. She pulled it over her head and tugged the sleeves down to hide the gouges and scratches on her arms. Stupid thorns. They'd heal, but it'd be faster if she fed.

"So, uh, what day is it?" she said. At least Fandom didn't move as fast as Silas when it came to replacing roommates.

Hanna gave her an even more disturbed look. "Sunday," she said cautiously. "The fifteenth. Where have you been?" Especially since you weren't sure about the date?

"Some hungry roses used my bed as a portal to drag me down and try to eat me," Carmilla said with a shrug. These things happened.

"Still February, right?" She had to check. She'd lost all sense of time passing.

Amy hadn't been feeling that well for the past few days, but staying in her room just made her more antsy. Taking a walk around the dorms was far preferable to fidgeting in bed and slowly draining the batteries on her... never mind.

"Hey, long time no see," she said, poking her head in. "Smells like someone got flowers."

Amy had too, weirdly enough. But she wasn't a fan of flowers, and had dumped them in the common room pretty quickly after receiving them.

There were still a few actual flowers in the room, delivered by the student council. Later, Carmilla would examine them and wonder who the hell was Johnny Storm?

"I don't want to talk about flowers," she said. "They're evil. How're you?"

And cute blondes coming into her room was definitely not helping her hunger.

"Agreed," Amy said emphatically. Screw flowers. "I'm good, I guess. Other than the fact that whoever's in charge of the thermostats in the dorms apparently decided the best way to deal with the cold weather was to overcompensate. Since it's a thousand degrees."

Nope. That was physiological.

"It is kind of warm in here," Carmilla noted.

Nibbling on Amy's neck wasn't the only thought running through her mind now.
