As another family get together creeps closer and closer I think to myself how dreaded it will be. My mother's side and my father's side of the family are such extremes. It drives me crazy. How can two people come from such opposite upbringings. It confuses me beyond all belief

I absolutely hate family events like that. Everyone's always fighting and I'm just there making fun of them and they don't even realize because they're too deluded and brainwashed.

In conclusion, family events are overrated and unneeded. Letters are better. It's hard to be a critical asshole via pen and paper... Mind you, it's possible, but hard.

Ew, family events. I think they're really unnecessary because everyone's just fighting and arguing over the stupidest things on the planet. It sucks, I know.

My parents' families are also exact opposites, just not as extreme as your's.
