i'm not good with these things because i tend to focus on all the things i wouldn't want someone to say to me. i don't want to tell you to buck up, but i wish for you to feel better. i don't want to tell you tomorrow will be better, but i hope that it is. things will get better and easier and more enjoyable. you have a whole new marking period to start over with if you can make it through the half day tomorrow (you can). you have lit mag to look forward to, dixie is a moron and math will be more enjoyable when you understand it. i adore you in litmag. i adore you not in litmag. i just adore you.
Aw, everybody loves you in lit mag. You give insightful comments on pieces while other people just say crappy one-liners *coughmecoughcough*. I hope you feel better. As Laurie said, it's going to be a new marking period soon and you have the rest of the year to catch up. :)

Rob and you and Lauren and Dana usually seem to have the most valuable critiques. My critiques are not valuable, just random thoughts connected by long pauses.

the best thing to do at times like this is get into your PJs, curl up on the couch with some ice cream (unless you're allergic/vegan/too cold), and watch Full House re-runs, and then read some anne tyler or People magazine or something and then go to sleep and dream about your favorite childhood memory. and the next morning, you'll have all the time to catch up on whatever needs catching up.
also, if you feel like it, draw what you're feeling with crayola-smelling crayons.
p.s. i forgot to tell you that you're really intelligent and kind and assertive and beautiful and the litmag critiquer i most enjoy (along with dana) and most definitely you and claire are my two favoritest people in human rights club.
i guess i just forgot because i assumed you knew all this already. kind of just a reminder.
haha wow all your girls already beat me to it...but i must agree with everything that nat, steph, laur, and allison have said. i know that it doesn't really help when all you're feeling is the moment and people try to tell you to think about the long term...but please know that you are a wonderful, bright girl with SO much to look forward to. you're gonna be super-successful and believe me, some rocky times are in store all the way on through it. sophomore year killed me, (and once again, i know that probably doesn't help...) but things do get better when some get worse, and you always have friends who love you to help steer you through to the ups of life.
