It has been one hell of a week. *nod* The Omaha shootings were horrific and tragic and did make me think of you.

I have many opinion on the politics you mention. I do not talk about politics or religion online though, so haven't had a lot to respond to you about for a while. But you bring a RECIPE and I'm all over that. It sounds tasty, and definitely fun and easy. I usually have containerfuls of those veggies pre-chopped and dehydrated, so for me, it's gonna be even easier to make! Thanks! Soup in the winter is SO wonderful. :D

where else to speak your opinions on politics than on the Internets?? *g*

i like to use it to rant, i need it to rant. i'd seriously implode otherwise.

ooh, you've got it all chopped up and ready to go? awesome! definitely would make it easier.

i'm such a soup fiend. i think that's all i'm going to eat this winter. testing out/modifying my own recipes. *rubs hands together gleefully*

Ah, the internets were made for porn. But not wank, as it grows sour and kills fun stuff. So! Nope, no politics for meeeeee, as I like to keep mah 'nets a happy place. Pleeze to be joining me in happy fun stuff instead, hello hi.

Yeah! I have dehydrated onions, carrots and celery, so I just sorta rock like that, whee.

i agree that teh internets were made for porn ;) but, i would disagree on the wank - fandom wank? yeah, fuck that (except when it comes to screwing over the author, like fanlib wank, and then i care). but politics? i think that wank is good and healthy and -important-, given the coming elections creeping up on us. i know, to most of my flist, i'm preaching to the choir. but for me, given what i see in the politics of today in this government, if i sit back and lack a voice, even if it is to just post links to idiocy etc... in the higher eschalans, then i feel like i am contributing by my apathy. i've been apathetic about politics nearly all my life, which soon i'll post in a journal about nebraskan politics and how we're so misunderstood in the US on a whole, but i can't stand the apathy any longer and have to speak my mind. otherwise i'll implode. i know that little me, with no political pull, no money to speak of and no real power in any sense can't have much sway in the political realm, but my sole power is my voice. and ( ... )

(sorry, forgot to comment re: teh faux-cheesecake in my first comment *g*)

Chocolate amaretto... Think that recipe would work with fructose?

hmm...i dunno?

i wrote this post earlier today...and then i had a wedge of faux-cheesecake. and then another wedge. i think it helped a -lot- sitting for 24 hours. it lost the grainy texture that i wasn't happy with. but i'm still not sure if i'm satisfied w/ the sweetness of it. it's too sweet. but i did like the flavors overall. and the texture.

i need to take this to someone else to taste test.

it was a no-bake thing too, so i'm not sure if baking it for a while might change the texture/flavor.

i say i need to make more of them and change the recipe. but i'm only one person and that's a lot of dessert to eat *g* even if it is made w/ tofu.

Haha. The bold vegan friendly sucked me in. :)

I don't feel like commenting on anything else. Other than thanks for the snowflake article. I hadn't seen that much detail about it.

PS - I <3 those vegan beans!

i <3 those vegan beans too ;) but i much prefer them pureed or chopped instead of the full bean - too much 'beaniness'.

*g* figured the bold 'vegan friendly' might suck a few in ;) i knew there were a few on my flist who might ignore the rants and value the recipe.

i hadn't heard of the snowflake memorial either - but was totally all weepy when i looked/read through it. i was glad i caught it on DK before it moved off the 'recent diaries' list. it just made me glad to see people coming together and having that outlet of unity after all this.
