#1 is SO freakin' adorable, and would be awesome in the spring! For an October wedding, though... definitely the second. I love it, too, so it's not like picking the least favorite of the two! Just more appropriate. :)

I think #1 would totally work with a bold colored cardigan... maybe something in the 'rust' family that's in the dress? That, and maybe a yellow clutch? I dunno, it's hard to tell what the colors are exactly. I think bolder colors would bring it more into Fall, and also take away the 'creamness' color of the dress, making it less like a 'faux pas', even though I don't think it's white enough to be considered a faux pas anyway.
