Starting college was much harder than I expected it to be. It sucked not knowing people and having to start your social life all a new. And finally now, when I actually have friends, I can't help but compare them, to the ones that I have back home. No one seems as funny or as cynical and interesting. This could be because I haven't really gotten

i really miss you, it is so hard to have anyone here compare to you or any other friend back home. please come visit soon so we can be mean to each other and not care about having to please people.

but i am happy for you and i know for sure in time everything will work itself out. you're completely right, when dealing with new people and making new friends etc. you cant skip right to being yourself (mean unfriendly frivolous) .you have to put on your temporary in between nice face, where you feel out people and see whats cool etc. and then after awhile people relax and become more comfortbale with themselves and each other.

anyway, i knwo you know all this, but i wanted to try and say something that might be comforting.

oh and i almost forgot, hahaha, along the lines of being mean, reading a certain person's first entries about thier new life will def. make you laugh and maybe even feel alittle better by comparsion. hahahaha, i trust you know what im talking about.
