My Valentine's story was such a hit. I couldn't refuse telling you fine folks of Purg the story about Easter.
Over 2,000 years ago there lived a beautiful Goddess named Esther. Her father declared her the Goddess of spring. Because of this title Esther became associated with fertility. One spring she was very sad because it was rainy and cold. Using her mystical powers she found the source of this imbalance.
A man by the name of St. Issa was being crucified for the crime of blasphemy. This made Esther very sad, and she decided that there would never be a spring again.
Three days later St. Issa rose from the dead, and Esther brought back spring.
And that boys and girls is why we stuff fake grass into our Easter baskets.
