going through the whole website http://photomichaelwolf.com/

it just reminds me how much i love hong kong, it's delapidated mess and urge to raze everything to the ground and start again, and to ignore the crumbling facades of other buildings. where money does not follow, nobody goes.

i still have pictures of hong kong stuck in my undeveloped film.

lol, i'll come with you! i like hongkong too...i grew up there for a while but never really felt connected to it. (then again, i feel disconnected to sg too)

i actually want to go to a place called peach island....i don't even know if it still exists, but i remember it's offshore hk/kowloon and there's an entire mountain covered with tombstones. the last time i was there, i was 7 and it was for qing ming.

i've been there three times now! it's so fascinating to me, every corner and alleyway...

i think because i watched so much tvb growing up (and now we have subscribed to it on cable and my mother never turns it off) i feel a lot of interest in the place, people and social issues.

my family is from malaysia but i don't really feel connected to it past my relatives. people still ask me if i want to go back to malaysia, forgetting that i was actually born in oz...
