I don't think you're supposed to use water/cleanser with the felt cloth. Just the cloth itself to get off dust and things. I tend to use Lens Wipes from Bausch and Lomb. (Box of fifty at walmart is a few bucks). I won't say it doesn't keep off /all/ the scratches but it does keep the lenses clean.

What type of coating did they put on your lenses? (Mine were coated with Crizal ... and I've had these lenses for a lil over a decade ... they are super scratched now but it's taken a long time to get them there).

I think you should send the letter tho. See if there is a good result from it.
