Who knew that we would be moving to a place where ice-jams and flooding are an annual event

I live very close to the Nashua river, there is a glacial moraine (large hill) between us and the river bank. The river would have to rise pretty high to crest that moraine. The dam a half mile away has been full open for the last few days of melting.
