...Wednesday, I finally moved into the new apartment. It's a bachelor suite; the building itself was built in 1988 and both show that they were built by committee. There's all sorts of wasted space, and fixtures and shelving placed where no sane person would place them normally. There are no cupboards in the kitchen area, it's all open shelving

Oh, definately more than less. My plans are finally bearing fruit. By this time next year, I should be good to go for almost anything I put my mind to.

Congrats on moving in! Sounds interesting starting from scratch, I remember moving out of the dorm.

Actually, no. Forced air versus radiant heat is about the same in effect, except that you need less of forced air to heat a room. And on more closely looking at the heat set-up, it does look like the heat is actually radiant hot water heat. It only seems like a forced air vent because the actual heat register is set up slightly from the floor, and the radiator is not obvious, making it hard to tell.
