You know, I almost went to that panel on Friday. We ended up going to Tales of Con Horror and Your Favorite Anime Sucks; both panels I would recommend you try to hit if you go next year.
It's a shame I never did see you around the dealer room; it was our generic way of killing time between panels.
Glad you enjoyed it and hope to see you next year, JackR
Hmm... What was the rest of Chicago like? I've been there a few times, but it was always dark or I was dead tired, and all I've seen of it is the inside of the bus station.
*appluads* Some rather in depth reporting there. I'm glad you all had a good time.
I particuliarly enjoyed this line "It was the closest non-mondoexpensive restaurant, so the hordes of cosplayers descended on it like an invasion of Funimation characters gone feral.".
Yes... I should have logged out and logged into the other account.... but that requires not being lazy for a few seconds... which is hard.
So I go ahead and log into the other account anyway... BUT it's a good opportunity to link the too names. This way if the name ever pops up in your journal again you might not be confused :D. I said... might XD.
You should try and find a pic of you at the con.. or some of those particuliarly neat cosplayers. It's been so long since I've been to a con.. I should go to one again.. and make some l33t items for it again. Yes, I'd go to these in full costume :D!
Trust me, I'll still have trouble. I only remember my name because it was sewn to my clothes for ten years...
ANYWAY... I just got linked to two photos of me. I'm finding out if the Code is okay with me hosting them outside of his gallery though, so I'll post them once I find out. He was planning to put up an entire gallery, so I may link to that as well.
Great review. I'm glad you guys had fun. I really wish I could have gone, if only to see Kit's panel.
Your review, plus the pics that Code Poetica took, really make me want to go to another con. Unfortunately cons in New England are few and far between. Hopefully I can persuade my wife to go to another sometime.

I've seen some of the suburbs of Chicago because that's where I flew into, but it was mainly concentrated around pizza and Mitsuwa.
