Last night, I finished Educating Esme. What a wonderful book! That should be required reading for pre-service teachers! Excellent ( Read more... )

WOO HOO!!! I love that book and all the wonderful inspiration that oozes from it!! (I bet I've never told you that I love that book before?!?)

Happy Getting Better, btw! Antibiotics are a good thing...

Have you heard about poor, poor Martha? Ah! What will this mean for fans of Hamptons-esque style?

Such a great book!

Getting slightly better... now I can sleep through the night, so there's progress!

I know! They need to leave Martha alone! Why can't they pick on somebody else... like ENRON or something. Even if what she did was wrong.... jail time? That is so stupid. When we have rapists and hard time criminals doing things... Our government baffles me.

TOTALLY! Why would Martha risk everything that she has over a MERE 45 THOUSAND?!?! It just makes no sense! She's definitely a smarter cookie than that, but no one seems to have any sort of common sense whatsoever. For crying out loud!

I think there are some people who are just a little jealous at her ability to mix and match sheets with such ease. Or, perhaps, she didn't offer them crepes the last time she made them. Grrrr...

Can we focus on the poor state of education in the country or focus on the people who really are making money in the stock market instead of poor Martha. She might not be innocent (but she may be, who knows) but she's definitely not the biggest fish in the sea. Just the fish with the best taste. :)

Glad you're sleeping now. Sleep is a good thing. Dream good dreams (of classrooms and sparkly stickers and markers that never dry out!)

$45,000... that is pocket change to Martha!

I think that because her image is squeaky clean and wholesome, she is being targeted. Like you said, people resent her creative ability and her attention to details.
